Schools out for Summer!

Doesn't that make you want to start singing that song from Alice Cooper "School's Out". Hee hee, does me! My girls are so stoked that summer is here!!! That means, lazy days at the pool, fun in the sun, picnics, playing in the back yard, BBQ's, sprinklers, ice cream, Popsicles, sleeping in, and enjoying time spent with family! The girls had a wonderful year though at school. They made lots of new friends, and had some wonderful times!

Zoey made all A's for the entire school year! She was so happy and proud of herself for her accomplishment! Her dad and I are so proud of her! We know she worked really hard and always tried her best! Here she is getting her award for making straight A's from the assistant principal!
Here is Zoey with her ribbon for making straight A's for the entire year, and her certificate for making all A's this quarter.
It seemed like just yesterday I was walking Lachlan into school for her first day of kindergarten. Now she is moving up to 1st grade. It is a little bitter sweet, she is growing up so fast! I am proud of her for her accomplishments she has made this year...Learning to read, tie her shoe, learning how to do math and so much more. Here she is with her Kindergarten Diploma!
And since school is officially out for summer, that means we can take trips to ice cream parlors, the zoo, the park, and all over San Antonio. And when you take a trip you do need to bring the essentials with you...like quarters for the gumball machines, chap stick, pen and paper, and of course a snack. And you need a purse or bag to carry all this in...so Nana sent us some oh so cute little crochet purses! The girls love them!!! There were so many to choose from. It was a tough choice for them but they made them. Here they are with there personal favorites!
Here is one so you can see it in it's entirety. Each one even has a little tag! Very cute!!!
And last but not least, here is our lil' Lizzie. She was tuckered out from all the playing outside with the girls and after her bath she needed to lay down and take a nap. The girls and Bubba think she was dreaming about being a ballerina...can you see why? Hee hee!

Little Fishes!

My girls have become little fishes these days! Every chance we get to go to the pool they are there!!! I was so proud of them when they got in the water and remembered how to swim!!! I thought we might need a refresher course but nope it was like riding a bike, or eating cup cakes, or staying in the lines, or okay you get the point.

Here they are at the soccer party we had a week ago...

Lachlan and her friends...

Zoey...

I didn't get any of Abigail she was all over the place and didn't stay still for the camera...maybe next time!!!

Happy Mother's Day to me!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day! They just keep getting better and better each year! The girls made me some really cute flower pens! These will definitely come in handy, I'm always looking for a pen and can never find one!! Plus these pens I can leave out on the counter because not only are the functional but decorative! Abigail gave me a wonderful Mother's Day present...a picture of her in her cast!!! It's sad to say that I don't have a picture of Abigail in her cast, just her splint so this was just amazing!!! I was thrilled to say the least!

We spent our weekend playing in the water! The girls got a new water slide, and guess what...it will even hold Bubba and I! Yay!!

Here's Abigail right before we ate dinner outside...I think she is ready for some grub!

Lachlan riding her bike around the deck...

Zoey getting warm after playing all day on the slide...

Bubba just relaxing!

Well I hope you all enjoyed your Mother's Day just as much as I did mine!

We LOST a Tooth!!!!

You heard right...Lachlan lost her very 1st tooth today!!!
She was upset at first because she didn't want "big teeth" and she wanted her baby teeth. Then she heard the story about the tooth fairy. See our tooth fairy comes in the dark of night after everyone has gone to sleep and she takes the baby tooth and leaves a little present. Usually she gives money here. Then she takes the tooth to Jesus and he reuses them for the other babies. Bet you didn't know Jesus recycled too!
Here is Lachlan showing Abigail her tooth...

And Abigail looking inside Lachlan's mouth...

Putting the tooth in our cute little tooth fairy box...

And a close up of Lachlan's brand new smile!

A Day at the Park!

Friday we decided that since the girls were out of school for Battle of the Flowers why not have some FUN! So we went to the park! The girls love going to the park. I love the park too, it helps burn off some of that excess energy!!!

Saturday's Soccer Game

Here's our little All Star!
Today we had our early game...8:15 am. Now I know that doesn't sound too early to some, but when you are trying to get everyone dressed, fed, beds made, house clean and THEN get yourself dressed, fed and bed made it is EARLY!!! But despite having a little sleep in our eyes, we had a great time! The kids played super hard and had a awesome time playing!

Here's Lachlan going after the ball...

Go Sharks Go!!!

Here are the girls on the drive to the soccer fields...

Silly Abigail!!!

It's Soccer Time!

It's that time again...Soccer Season! Lachlan loves playing soccer! She also loves getting a "really cool trophy" at the end of the season party! It is so fun to watch her out on the field having such a great time! We have been on the same team for 4 seasons now. We will get to stay on the same team one more season and then she goes to an all girl team. She is super excited for that to happen! Now don't get me wrong she loves, LOVES playing soccer with the boys, but she thinks it will be awesome to play on an all girl team. Here are a few pictures of her and her team, The Sharks.

Right before the game...
Getting in the mix...notice her cousin Cody (2) they are like peas and carrots! After their team scored...
Back in the mix again...oh please excuse the kid who jumped in front of my camera...didn't he realize I was taking pictures of the next soccer star...hee hee!
